School’s in session…in some way, shape, or form. No matter which method your child is learning – virtually, hybrid, in-person – we are sure that your student will make the best of this strange start to the academic year and produce a stellar student performance. With these unusual school circumstances, Lovely Day Photo wanted to ensure local students had the opportunity to continue a time-honored and annual tradition – school portraits!
Our guess is picture day is bound to look drastically different than in the past and may not even happen at all this year. We just couldn’t imagine the idea that your child would have a gap year from those favorite laser-light backdrops. No? Those aren’t a thing anymore? That was just me in the 80s? Cool, cool.
But seriously, we are providing an opportunity for your student to have his/her annual photo, just with WAY better backgrounds. In order to safeguard your health as much as possible, we will be offering socially-distanced school portrait mini sessions at our Buffalo photography studio between September 28 and October 2. Sessions are 10 minutes and require a $10 deposit to reserve your slot. But, your deposit will be applied to the total cost of your portrait order! We will feature the traditional blue background but also some other fun school-themed options.
Plus, we’ll highlight your personality and interests during your session – meaning you are welcome to bring your favorite school things. Maybe it’s your child’s favorite book, his iPad, her first-day-of-school sign, his backpack, or her favorite lunchbox. Plus, I have a vintage desk and a few other school-themed props available to you. And, even though we won’t feature a “school picture make-up day,” we have the power of retouching and will have a comb for errant hair!

- $10 deposit to reserve your session. Remember, your deposit will be applied to your order total!
- Mini sessions are open to the public! You do not need to be a Lovely Day Photo client to participate.

Other Important Info:
- A personal online gallery to view your images will be available within five days of your session.
- Printed order packages start at $19 with file options available. Similar, if not better, pricing than your school’s options!
- Orders must be placed by October 15th to receiving the package pricing. Orders placed after 10/15 will be purchased at normal LDP portrait pricing.
- Purchased prints will be completed and ready to ship within 4 weeks from purchase – faster than your school’s turnaround!
- Flat $5 shipping fee for all orders. No pick-ups will be available due to COVID and social distancing requirements.
- Participants will need to complete a required COVID pre-session questionnaire.
