Client Appreciation Days: A Little Love, A Little Spook, and A Lot of Thanks
Let’s talk gratitude—and not just the polite “thank you” you say when someone holds the door. I’m talking big, warm, straight-from-the-heart gratitude for all of you amazing humans who’ve let me into your lives to capture your memories over the past 19 years.
For over a decade, I’ve been hosting Client Appreciation Days twice a year as my way of giving back. Think of them as a mini party, a photo session, and a love letter to you all rolled into one.
So, what are these magical days all about?
February: Buffalove Client Appreciation Day
February may be chilly, but this day is packed with hot Buffalo spirit. We’re talking Buffalo Bills jerseys, Buffalove gear, and the undeniable vibe of “home.” Come as you are—or as you think Josh Allen would want you to be—and let’s celebrate the city that’s got grit, heart, and wings (the edible kind).
What’s in it for you?
- A complimentary photo session, because nothing says “I love Buffalo” like a photo of you in your favorite Bills sweatshirt.
- A digital card so you can shout your Buffalove from the social media rooftops.
- A chance to hang out and soak up the positivity because let’s face it, February can use all the joy it can get.
This event is a total touchdown (see what I did there?) every single year, and I can’t wait to see what creative Buffalo-themed looks you bring!
October: Halloween Client Appreciation Day
Okay, let’s be real: Halloween isn’t just for kids. It’s a whole vibe. Whether you’re into Pinterest-level DIY costumes, store-bought classics, or just dressing your kid like a pumpkin, this event is where the spooky fun happens.
Here’s the scoop:
- A complimentary mini session with a Halloween twist.
- Kids get to show off their costumes, and grown-ups—you’re invited to do the same. (Yes, I will absolutely take a photo of you in a T-Rex suit. No judgment.)
- A festive backdrop that’ll have your neighbors asking where you got that adorable photo for your fridge.
It’s all treats and no tricks (except for my questionable Halloween puns).
The Fine-ish Print
- Free for current clients: Had a session with me in the past 16 months? Boom—you’re in!
- Not a current client? Don’t worry—you’re still invited. Instead of a session fee, we’ll ask for a $25 donation to one of my favorite local charities, like the Patricia Allen Fund or Ride for Roswell. It’s a win-win: you get awesome photos, and we make a positive impact in our community.
Why Do I Do This?
Because YOU are the heart of Lovely Day Photo. These events are my way of saying, “Thank you for being amazing.” Whether it’s Buffalove in February or Halloween hilarity in October, these are two of my absolute favorite days of the year.
So, come hang out, take a picture, and let’s celebrate life, laughter, and the moments that make it all worthwhile.
P.S. If you don’t show up in costume for the Halloween session, I’ll totally still take your photo. But don’t be surprised if I Photoshop a witch hat on you. ;)
