Melissa is an absolute pleasure. Not only is she friendly and enthusiastic, she is also extremely organized and prepared for almost any occurrence the day of your wedding. She fixed my broken dress train, entertained a toddler into participating in group photos, and managed to sneak in evening photos that I had wanted despite our tight time schedule. She is extremely talented in both catching candid moments and creating gorgeous wedding portraits. She was easily the MVP of my vendors! I cannot recommend her enough!
My husband Denis and I first met Melissa 5 years ago when we were jet-lagged and interviewing wedding photographers! We instantly felt at ease with her, were incredibly impressed with her work and knew that she would do a great day of not only taking pictures on our wedding day but keeping the whole day on track. It was an easy decision to work with Melissa and we have been thrilled with her work over the years. We have absolutely stunning wedding photographs, a beautiful wedding album and engagement photos which capture "us" as a couple. True to her word, she kept our day running smoothly and directed two very large families into beautiful photos!
While we live out of town, we continue to use Lovely Day for all of our photo needs - Melissa has done newborn photos for both of our children and does our Christmas photos every year, too! There's no one else we would ever consider trusting to capture these special moments in our lives!

Melissa is more than a photographer. All of my friends and a family member have used Melissa as their wedding photographer as well as for other life events. When you hire Melissa you get a jack of all trades! She is there for quick fixes, emotional support, and any little thing you need for your big day! Not to mention- the pictures you get are absolutely beautiful and perfect, and she is there for anything you want or need after the fact! We used Melissa as our wedding photographer back in 2014,before we moved out of state, and for our 2016 family Christmas photos . When you hire Melissa, you hire an excellent photographer all around, and you also hire a wonderful wedding guru. She has everything you might need, right down to backup pins in case someone steps on your dress and it needs fixing! (True story!) She is just wonderful at her job, a delight to talk to, and became photographer for 3 of our other couple friends after our wedding because they all saw her work and knew she was the best!
We have been working with Melissa for over five years. We love her upbeat and flexible work style when working with our young family in and out of the studio. It’s always hard to pick which photos to print as the quality is fantastic!
Melissa is wonderful. A friend found her for my for my wedding and as soon as I met her I knew she was who I wanted to photograph our wedding. Her bubbly demeanor is contagious. She also has done newborn photos for both of my kids. I am always nervous about kids cooperating but Melissa has a way with kids and everything turns out perfect. Whenever a friend is looking for a photographer I rave about Melissa. She is the absolute best.
