For nearly three years I’ve been telling my husband that I’m going to design our wedding album. I am like all the other brides out there that says “I’ll get to it”. But for me it’s not because I can’t do it myself, it’s partially because I am always working on someone else’s album. But honestly the reason I haven’t designed my own album is really because I don’t want a flush mount album. Yes, I’m happy to design them all day long, but there is a side of me that truly loves a matted style album. Now, before you wrinkle your nose at what I just typed. Hear me out… In the past few years flush mount albums have gone over the top, from crazy covers and sizes, to funky layouts… its really not my style. OR is it my brides style. 95% of the time my brides when given all the options under the sun, have selected a traditional layout, traditional leather cover and have opted to keep their album design clean and simple. I have more and more brides asking about a matted style albums, so I know I’m not the only one who wants something other than a flush mount album. I brought in a 5×7 matted style album last year to show off some of my favorite card designs, every single person that has picked up this album had gushed over the style of it. I knew I finally had to do something about my love affair with matted albums.
I flew to Vegas last week to attend WPPI and specifically meet with one company. A company that I’ve been drooling over for years, but wanted to make sure the quality was up to my standards before adding it to my line. This album company is not for every bride, it’s for the bride who wants something other than a flush mount album. This album is more about quality and less about quantity. I’m so pleased to say not only am I going to be building my own album, but I’m adding Queensberry to my line up.
