Every year I spend days trying to prepare my favorites images from the previous year’s weddings. It’s one of the hardest things on my “to-do” list every January. I honestly dread it, mainly because every year I feel like I’ve left so many great shots out trying to narrow things down so you don’t have to see so many portraits. This year, I’m giving up and showing you a TON of wedding portraits to look at from 2015. I hope you enjoy! You’ll see everything from Buffalo’s beautiful sunny days, to our moody windy/raining days. Outside weddings to inside weddings, all different body types, dress colors, flowers, venues, styles, dance moves, and expressions. Each wedding is so very different, yet at the end of the day the same thing has happened. You’ve gotten married, had the best day ever(!!), and get to reminisce through the photos for the rest of your life. After 10 years in business I can still say I love photographing weddings just as much as I did when I first started. Actually I might enjoy it more because I’m not as terrified anymore. ;) This is part 1 of 4.
Remember how I mentioned those rainy days in my first entry? Well, you’ll have an opportunity to see what happens if it does rain on your wedding day here in Buffalo. There’s nothing we can do, but Buffalo has a beautiful landscape rain or shine. Plus with the Ellicott Square Building permit* you can always have a backup spot, just in case. You’ll also see those hot sunny days in mid-July in this entry.
*The Ellicott Square Building is available by paid permit only. If you are the type of bride that is truly worried about rain I’d recommend reaching out the the as soon as possible as they only allow 2 wedding parties in at a time.
Part 3 of my 2015 recap contains weddings from Shea’s Theater, in downtown Buffalo, along with a wedding at St. John’s Baptist Church, and finally ending up in Bradford, Pa. for an outside wedding at the Penn Hill Country Club. As you can tell, I did a bit of local traveling this past summer. I’m not sure if I’ve ever had a year with so many beautiful locations!
Are you hanging in there, and still going through wedding portraits?!? If so, you’ll get the chance to see one of my all-time favorite venues, the Country Club of Buffalo. I know what you’re thinking, how can a place with floral wallpaper be my favorite?! Well, the club is so much more than that. First of all the staff is beyond amazing, and so is the food. If you’re a foodie, like me, then you can appreciate that even the plating is gorgeous at CCB, and the staff really take the time to make sure you and your guests feel welcome. and let’s talk about the grounds, the northtowns tend to be pretty flat, but not there, the beautiful club sits overlooking the Williamsville/Amherst area. With beautifully landscaped gardens and greens, you really couldn’t find a more beautiful club.
This entry also includes wedding pictures from, Cragburn Country Club in East Aurora (also an extremely beautiful club), the Outer Harbor, Downtown Theater District, A quick drive-by of the Buffalo Bills Stadium the weekend we played the Patriots, The Basilica, and The Avanti Mansion.
I hope you’ve enjoyed looking through some of my favorites from 2015. 2016 is 95% booked and 2017 is about 20% booked at this time. Thanks again for 10 fabulous years! I couldn’t have done it without so many referrals. Love you!

If you’ve noticed that I have been extra quiet lately, it’s because I’ve had something up my sleeve.
I’ve been given the opportunity to move Lovely Day Photo into a new, larger studio space. After five and a half years on the 800 block of Main street, it looks like I will soon be a resident of the 500 block of Delaware Avenue. The new space will give me the opportunity to grow (it’s double the space that I have now), and it has private parking. This is especially great for any of my mom’s looking to bring their babies into the studio.
This moment in time is so bittersweet for me. I truly love the studio space I’m in, it has those gorgeous brick walls, high ceilings, and big windows, but I outgrew it years ago and have been trying to make it work. The sentimental part of all of this is that Jimmy purposed to me in the entrance way of the studio five and a half years ago. But the truth is, it no longer works for the business. The studio has grown, it’s now time to give in, and move.
The new address as of October 1, 2015 will be 546 Delaware Avenue, Suite 1Q. If you’re familiar with the city of Buffalo, it’s the old Allentown Athletics Building on the corner of Delaware and Allen. The new entrance to the studio is actually located on Allen street and is gated. Clients coming in for a session will simply pull up, honk and I’ll click the gate to let you in. No more paying for parking, and no more getting kids out of the car on a busy street. Safety for those cute little babes is so important! We will also be able to schedule sessions anytime of the day, no more waiting for the light to be just right. For our bridal clients… not much is changing for you, except we’ll be updating the wedding samples on our walls, albums, and as always, we have champagne and beer waiting for you!
I’m looking forward to the move and will update you again as soon as the studio move is complete.
Thanks so much to all of my friends, family and clients who have supported me over the years, this wouldn’t be possible without your business and referrals!
